Instructions for turning in your phones

Your devices are protected by Factory Reset Protection (FRP), an anti-theft measure that renders the device useless if someone wipes your phone, e.g., if it were stolen and resold.

Before you turn in your device, you must perform the following steps:

1. Open Settings
2. General Management
3. Reset
4. “Factory data reset”

Reboot the phone and verify that the Android OS installation screens appear.

Drop-off

You may drop off your device any time between 8:30am-4pm at Dr. Layman’s office in CG 2045. If I’m not in, please leave your device with a CSC Department Administrative Assistant in the large glassed-in reception area on the 2nd floor of Congdon Hall. If no one is there, leave it in my mail slot in the copy area behind the reception area.
